- This is a pre-solicitation notice. This procurement is 100% set aside for small business. The contract resulting from this solicitation will be a Firm Fixed Price Lump Sum contract for a rental of a fully fueled Forklift Truck ?Taylor Forklift? Model TE300 M, 115 HP, or equal, with the following characteristics: 30,000 lb capacity @ 24? load center Minimal 92? wide carriage 96? forks Transmission ? automatic Pneumatic tires Fuel Diesel powered engine Tilt ? forward/15 backward/12 deg.? The performance period is for a base period of 12 months from date of commencement, and (2) 12-month option periods, which may be exercised by the Government. The total contract term including the exercise of options shall not exceed 36 months. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 238990 and the size standard is $12.0 million. Per the Debt Collections Improvement Act of 1996, the DFAR requires all contractors to be registered in the Department of Defense Central Contractor Registration (CCR) Database. Be advised that failure to register in the CCR makes an offeror ineligible for award of DOD contracts. The estimated date for issuance of the invitation for bids (IFB) is 5 December 2005. In accordance with FAR 5.102(a)(7), availability of the solicitation will be limited to the electronic medium. Hard copies will not be available. You may view the site within an account, but you will not be able to register for a solicitation unless you have an account. Once registered, when the Request for Proposals package becomes available, you will receive an email informing you when the IFB package becomes available.
