- Solicitation Number 06X206006 is amended as follows: 1. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation shall not be issued. This solicitation number 06X206006 is issued as a request for Quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-06, dated 9/30/05. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this contract is 811212, “Computer and Office Machine Repair and Maintenance.” This RFQ is for a Full Service Maintenance Agreement for 10 Canon copiers (described below), with a gross output of 600,000 copies for the 10 copiers, as well as a line item for Excess Meter Charges for any copies exceeding the 600,000 mark with an estimated 120,000 copies per year. To be considered for award the responsible offer shall meet the following criteria: Canon authorized training facility; only Canon parts and training Genuine Canon new parts only utilized for service call situations for optimum life expectancy with copier performance Canon Engineering update kits that are controlled and immediately installed Technical System Engineers with DHHS security clearances Specify your complete service call process; Preventative Maintenance inspections performed on a scheduled basis or as a part of the total service call process Average response time of four hours and less for the DC Metropolitan area Four dedicated technicians for Rockville-College Park area and four dedicated technicians for the Washington DC area eCopy Scanning certified technical support group Service plan with shared copies and monthly, quarterly, or annual billing; toner inclusive Dedicated sales support with a Federal Account Manager for DHHS only, who monitors all technical, administrative, and policy issues Teams of pre-sale and post-sale system engineers as well as dedicated walk-up copier trainers for DHHS exclusively (800) Local/National Help Desk 8:30am-8:30pm ET for any connectivity related issues outside the scope of the stand alone copier State of the art dispatch system that will deliver instant call assignments and notifications; automated page system 3. In accordance with the Terms and Conditions for Canon Lease to Ownership (LTOP) Program, Item No. 51-58 7. Lease Service, During the period of the lease term, the Government agrees to maintain the equipment under a maintenance agreement either through Canon USA or through a Canon Authorized Dealer. Any responsible offeror submitting a proposal under this Solicitation shall be either Canon USA or a Canon Authorized Dealer. All other offerors will be determined non-responsive. ALL Canon copiers under this Solicitation are currently under a LTOP Contract. The due date for receipt of proposals is extended through November 29, 2005 at 3:00 p.m., local prevailing time.
