Description

The Food and Drug Administration intends to issue a purchase order to Microsoft on a sole source basis for renewal of the following support. Microsoft Premier Support (1) 480 hours of Service Resource Time, Problem Resolution Support 20 Support Incidents, Four (4) Prepaid Site Visits (up to 2 days per visit), Two (2) Microsoft TechNet Plus Subscriptions (single server), and Two (2) MSDN Subscriptions .This announcement constitutes the only solicitation and written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is 1010763. The solicitation clauses and provisions are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-27. The standard Industrial Classification (SIC) Code for this acquisition is D399 and the North American Classification System (NAICS) Code is 541519. The following FAR Clauses shall apply to this solicitation 52.212-1 Instructions to Offerors- Commercial Items, 52.212-4 Offeror Representations and Certifications- Commercial Items, 52.212-4 Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items, and 52.212-5 Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders-Commercial Items. All responsible sources that can provide and meet the above requirements shall submit written quotations by the due date referenced above. The award is being issued on a sole source basis because Microsoft is the designer/architect of the support tools, they possess the codes of the program, create the patches for Microsoft license products and there is no other contractor that can provide these codes.
