Description

The contractor shall furnish all depot level labor, facilities, tools, test equipment, and materials to Overhaul the Transmission. The furnished parts shall be either manufacturers original equipment or from an approved, qualified and/or engineerin g test vendor. No surplus parts shall be used. The Input/Output NSN: 1615-01-034-0405, Input/Output P/N: 206-040-003-23. The government intends to award a Firm Fixed Price, Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) type contract with a minimum qu antity of 25, maximum quantity of 96 each. The maintenance and overhaul shall be in accordance with the manufacturers blueprints/production drawings and specifications. Authority cited is 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source an d No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency requirement. The approved source is Bell Helicopter Textron, Inc. (cage 97499). Firms are encouraged to seek source approval in order to compete for this or future solicitations by contacting Marsha Br azelton, (256) 313-8965. Award will not be delayed to wait for additional sources to obtain source approval. These procedures are outlined at the following website: http://www.redstone.army.mil/cmo/. Submit request(s) for source approval to: Commander , U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command, ATTN: AMSAM-MMC-AV-S/Marsha Brazelton, Building 5309, Redstone Arsenal, AL 35898-5280. All responsible sources may submit an offer that may be considered by the agency. FORMAL COMMUNICATIONS RELATED TO THIS AC QUISITION SHOULD BE DIRECTED TO ROBERT P. ALDRIDGE. There will be no telephone or email requests for proposals accepted. Request will be by data fax to (256) 313-8194 or mailed only to ATTN: AMSAM-AC-LA-M/Robert P. Aldridge, Contract Specialist. This r equirement is currently unfunded. Award will be withheld pending receipt of sufficient funds. The closing date annotated is an estimated date and may be adjusted dependent upon the date of release of the solicitation; however, the solicitation will not close prior to the closing date stated above.
