Description

POC FOR THIS ANNOUNCEMENT IS MS. JACALYN M. JENKINS AT 251/441-5598. The scopes of work for this procurement will provide construction and installation of medical, dental, and administrative support facilities, as well as performance of site surveys and preparation of work plans related to such construction of DOD Army Medical Facilities Nationwide, including Alaska, Hawaii and Puerto Rico. The Government contemplates awards of Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity contracts (not more than three) r esulting from this solicitation which will include a base year and two one-year options. Firm Fixed-Price Task Orders will be issued against the contracts. The total maximum value to be shared amongst all contracts awarded under this solicitation is $120,0 00,000.00. There is no guarantee that this maximum value will be distributed equally. Awardees will share this total value through a competitive task order award process. The requirement is handled by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Mobile District, Mo bile, Alabama. Refer to document in request. Bid documents are available on or about 12 December 2005 on the Internet only. Mr. Leo J. Hickman is Contracting Officer for this project. This procurement is an 8(a) Competitive requirement which will have a scope of work that includes both modular construction and limited traditional horizontal and vertical construction incidental to the modular requirement. All responsible sources may submit an offer that shall be considered. The NAICS code is 236220. Bidders, subcontractors and Dodge/Plan Rooms are required to self-register their firm or office on the Internet. Registration instructions are available on the Internet at http://www.sam.usace.army.mil, then click on contract bids. Neither telephonic, ma iled, nor fax requests will be accepted. Those registering are responsible for the accuracy of the information on the mailing list. Registration must include the firm's physical address, telephone, a valid fax number and a point of contact. Registration should be completed one week prior to the issue date. All notifications of changes to this solicitation shall be made through the Internet only. It is therefore the contractors' responsibility to check the Internet address listed above daily, for any po sted changes to this solicitation. Actual solicitation amendments will be issued either by fax or by posting for download to the aforementioned web page. The plans and specifications will be issued on the Internet only and will be provided free of charge. Plans and specifications will not be provided in a printed-paper format; however, the Government reserves the right to revert to paper medium when it is determined to be in the Government's best interest. All bid forms, bid bonds, and other normal documents required for the bid submittal, including amendments to the bid submittal, shall be in paper medium. Electronic medium for the bid submittal documents will not be allowed. For this job, a small busines s is defined as having average annual receipts of less than $28,500,000.00 for the past three years.
