- Description
- NASA/ARC is hereby soliciting information about potential sources for four Mid-Infrared tunable diode laser (Class I laser device). Lasers much perform very stably and repeatable in a single mode. These diode lasers will be used for replacement and backup lasers for our research instruments. NASA/ARC intends to purchase these items from the following company: Laser Components Instrument Group, 9 River Road, Hudson, NH 03051, pursuant to FAR 6.302-1. Laser Components Instrument Group has a unique ability to meet all our specifications for the Mid-Infrared tunable diode laser. The specifications are as follows: 1) 4.5 micrometer wavelength spectroscopic lasers (Class I) 2)Sub 1-mw emission power 3)Single mode diode (min. 1cm-1 mode length) 4)Temperature 90K<=T=120K 5)IR lasers are not to be continuously tunable throughout the usable range. 6)Gaps and multimode output may exist at certain wavelengths. 7)Temperature: Acceptable operating range 90 to 120 Kelvin. 8)Wavelength: 2179.8 wavenumbers; guarantee exact wavenumber match. 9)Delivery time within 8 weeks. No solicitation exists; therefore, do not request a copy of the solicitation. If a solicitation is released it will be synopsized in FedBizOpps and on the NASA Acquisition Internet Service. It is the potential offeror?s responsibility to monitor these sites for the release of any solicitation or synopsis.
