Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for services prepared in accordance with the format in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation is available. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are not being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) Code is 511110 (Newspaper Publishers). The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) intends to award a sole source purchase order to Press Association Inc in New York, NY pursuant to 41 U.S.C.253(c)(1), FAR Part 6-302-2--Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This procurement is for the renewal of AP news services Subscription for AP Health Topic Report; AP Environment Topic Report; AP Photo Archive ; AP Alert Services, AP Alert/Medical and AP Alert Environmental. This will be for a one year period from 10/01/2005 ? 09/30/2006. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
