- The National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS) intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Affymetrix, Santa Clara, CA 95051, pursuant to 41 U.S.C.253(c)(1)--Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This purchase is for the following: #900496 Mouse Whole Genome (8 pk); #900554 Yeast Genome Array (4 pk); # 900551 Array, E. Coli Genome (4 pk); #900540 Human Mapping 10K 2.0 (1 bx); #520043 Human Mapping 50K Array Xba(4 ea);# 520044 Human Mapping 50K Array Hind (4 each); # 520043 Human Mapping 50K Array (4 ea); and # 520044 Human Mapping 50K Array Hind (4 ea). These items are required for continuity and integrity of ongoing experiments. Any firm believing itself capable of providing these services may respond by submitting a written narrative statement of capability within 15 days of date of notice to Dee Lunney at the above address for consideration by the agency. Response must include detailed technical information and other technical literature demonstrating the ability to meet these requirements. Responses shall also include itemized pricing that is sufficient to make a determination that competition is feasible. If no affirmative responses are received within 15 days of this notice to determine whether a qualified source is more advantageous to the Government, an order will be placed with Affymetrix. The NAICS Code/Size is 325414/500EM. This procurement is to be processed using Simplified Acquisition Procedures in conjunction with FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items and is not expected to exceed the Simplified Acquisition threshold of $100,000.
