- Description
- 1. Request for Information: This is a request for information (RFI) for planning purposes only. The RFI is for a restricted information management system that will facilitate Air University research. A COTS solution is preferred but not mandatory; if software does not currently exist we may pursue a development effort. 2. TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS: See attached word document. 3. The contractor shall provide the following information: a. A functional description of the software (or software to be developed). b. If available, a demo version of the software. c. A requirements compliance matrix or stop light chart showing the functionality met. d. For development efforts -- schedule estimate for fully meeting requirements. e. An estimated cost of the COTS or development effort. f. Highlight any contract vehicles/schedules available to streamline any potential solicitation. g. The government may hold discussions with 3-5 companies to further explore commercial capabilities after responses have been reviewed. 4. The Government has the right to use any of the information provided by contractors to develop our RFP. If an offeror objects to this, do not submit the information. All information received in response to this RFI that is marked Proprietary will be handled accordingly. Responses to the RFI will not be returned. In accordance with FAR 15.201(e), responses to this notice are not offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this solicitation or to otherwise pay for the information solicited. Although ?proposal? and ?offer? are used in this RFI, your response will be treated as information only. It shall not be used as a proposal. Again, this solicitation is issued for the purpose of INFORMATION and PLANNING PURPOSES ONLY. Responses will be accepted in any format by 5:00 PM on Dec 15, 2005, to the POC.
