FUNCTION: IS A FUEL FLOW SPEED GOVERNOR THAT REGULATES A CONSTANT FUEL PRESSURE; DIMENSIONS: APPROX. 3 ? IN LONG BY 2 3/8 O.D.; MTL: CONSISTS OF ALUMINUM ALLOY, APPL TO: TF33 ENG, DEST: TINKER AIR FORCE BASE OK 73145-3032; DELIVERY: BY 31 OCT 2007; QUANTITY: MIN 429, MED 858, MAX 1071 EA. Qualification requirements: This is reserved for qualified sources. The solicitation will contain instructions for obtaining further information on becoming qualified. The requirements of FAR 9.202(a)(1) have been completed and copies of the qualification requirements and standards may be obtained as described in the solicitation. Qualified sources are: Woodward Gov Co 66503, & Hamilton Sundstrand Corp 73030. Government/commercial new & unused surplus material is acceptable. The approximate response date will be 7 Jan 2006. The anticipated award date is 8 Mar 2006. Data package will be provided to approved sources and First Article requirements will apply. Due to the complexity and criticality of this part, only actual manufacturers that have successfully completed all testing required by the original company responsible for the design, or manufacturers that have successfully completed all testing on items determined by the government to be similar in complexity and criticality can be considered approved sources for this item. Electronic procedures will be used for this solicitation. All responsible sources may submit a bid. Justification: Supplies required are available from only one or a limited number of responsible sources and no other type of supplies will satisfy agency requirements. Award will be made only if the offeror, the product, or the manufacturer meets qualification requirements at the time of award in accordance with FAR clause 52.209-1. The solicitation identifies the office where additional information can be obtained concerning qualification requirements as cited in each individual solicitation. Note: While price will be a significant factor in the evaluation of offers, the final contract award decision may be based upon a combination of price and past performance factors as detailed in the solicitation. Note: An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to the source of the concern.
