- Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS), Yuma, AZ, has a requirement for all labor, supervision, transportation for pickup and delivery services, supplies, vehicles, tools, and equipment to provide a contractor-owned contractor-operated (COCO) laundry service for a one-year base period with the possibility of one option year. The base year is for the nine-month period of 1 Jan 2006 through and including 30 Sept 2006. The option year is for the period of 1 Oct 2006 through and including 30 Sept 2007. Laundry services include the laundering, drying, folding and ironing of government and contractor provided items such as, but not limited to; patient gowns, surgical wraps, towels, watch caps, wool blankets, mattress pads, mattress covers, comforters, mats, pest control coveralls, and dust mops. Medical laundry is to be laundered in accordance with industry standards, Center for Disease Control (CDC) guidelines, any existing Federal regulations, and the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organization (JCAHO) regulations. Pest control uniforms shall be cleaned in accordance with industry standards. This is a requirements contract. A single award will result from the solicitation. This is an unrestricted solicitation. Quantities are estimates and not guaranteed. Detailed item descriptions and quantities will be included in the solicitation package. Quoter must pick-up and deliver laundry onsite at various buildings throughout MCAS Yuma and the Cannon Air Defense Facility twice weekly on designated days. The Cannon Air Defense Facility is located approximately 10 miles East of MCAS Yuma. The North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) is 812332 and the Standard Industry Code (SIC) is 7218. Quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will be issued. The solicitation number M62974-06-T-4008 is a Request for Quote (RFQ) and will be issued on or about 2 December 2005. It is anticipated the closing date will be 14 Dec 2005. All responsible quoters may submit a quotation whi ch shall be considered by the Agency. The solicitation and any subsequent amendments will be posted on the NECO website: http://www.neco.navy.mil. Prospective quoters are responsible for monitoring the site for any amendments. All interested quoters must be registered in the Central Contractor Register (CCR) in order to receive an award. All interested quoters must be willing to invoice electronically through Wide Area Workflow (WAWF). Information on WAWF can be obtained at http://www.wawftraining.com. Quoters bear the burden of ensuring that quotes (and any amendments) reach the designated office on time and should allow a reasonable time for facsimile transmissions to be completed. Any facsimile transmission must clearly state the solicitation number and the name of the contracting officer on the first page to ensure proper receipt.
