- This is a COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION for COMMERCIAL ITEMS in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicita tion; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is a Request For Quotation (RFQ), W15P7T-06-Q-C016. The small size standard is 1000 for the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code 335312. The U.S. Army intends to procure Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) generators on a Sole Source basis from Marathon Electric Manufacturing, 100 E. Randolph St., Wausau, WI 54401 as follows: Three (3) Generator, AC [NSN: 6115-01-519-9151], manufacturer part number: 431PSL6309 Three (3) Generator, AC [NSN: 6115-01-520-6411], manufacturer part number: 571RSL4800 These units are part of, or used with: Generator Set, Diesel MEP-807A (100 kW Tactical Quiet Generator (TQG)) & MEP-809A (200 kW TQG) An option for up to 100% will also be purchased for each item. Marathon is the original manufacturer of these Generators, AC (hereafter referred to as Generators) and possesses the manufacturing data for these Generators. The Government does not possess technical data (drawings or specifications) that completely defin es the Form, Fit, and Function (F3) of the items being procured. Inspection/Acceptance will be at Contractor Facility. Shipments are to be FOB Destination. All items are to be shipped to: DODAAC: W25G1U XU TRANSPORTATION OFFICER DDSP NEW CUMBERLAND FACILITY BUILDING MISSION DOOR 113 134 NEW CUMBERLAND PA 17070-5001 17070-5001 Delivery shall be 90 Days After Contract (DAC) award. Packaging and Packing shall be in accordance with Standard Practice for Commercial Packaging (ASTM D 3951-98). BASIS FOR AWARD: The Government intends to make an award to the Contractor who submits the lowest, responsive quotation, and is deemed acceptable and responsible by the Contracting Officer. The Offerors must submit quotations on the full quantity identified. The Contracting Officer reserves the right to make no award under this procedure. Offers are to be received within 30 days of the posting of this COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION.
