Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented by the information included in this notification. This procurement is being conducted under Simplified Acquisition Procedures pursuant to the authority of FAR Subpart 13.5, Test Program for Certain Commercial items (10 U.S.C. 2304)g) and 2305 and 41 U.S.C. 253(g) and 253a and 253b), and FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items (Title VIII of the Federal Acquisition Streamlining Act of 1994 (Public Law 103-355)), and FAR 37.104. This announcement only provides a very brief overview of the solicitation. A copy of the Request for Quote (i.e., solicitation) and the Statement of Work can be found below.The Department of Interior (DOI), GovWorks, intends to solicit the following requirements as a full and open competition in accordance with FAR 6.102-(b). This competitive action is being issued by GovWorks under the authority of the U. S. Department of the Interior Franchise Fund on behalf of the Office of the Deputy Under Secretary of Defense (Equal Opportunity) which has a need for services to support the Workforce Recruitment Program for College Students with Disabilities (WRP). This program is a national resource that helps federal and other employers identify and place qualified college students with disabilities in temporary and permanent jobs in a variety of occupations. The Department of Defense (DoD) and the Department of Labor (DOL) cosponsor the program. Approximately 350 students are placed through the program each year, mostly in the federal sector, two-thirds in DoD, primarily in summer jobs.
