- This solicitation will be made available for download from the FedBizOpps (check one): X yes no Text: The Coast Guard intends to issue a Request for Proposal to provide all labor, materials and equipment required to construct a 4600 square building to house long range, low frequency transmission equipment at the Coast Guard Long Range Aids to Navigation (LORAN) Station on St. Paul Island, Alaska. The building will be pre-cast concrete. Construction shall include all site improvements required in plans and specifications as well as construction of emergency power generation, fuel storage, HVAC infrastructure as well as various electronics infrastructure required by transmission equipment. Transmitters will be installed by others. Construction is targeted for late spring through winter of 2006. The Government Estimate range is $5 to $10 million. A firm fixed price contract will be awarded to the lowest price, technically acceptable offeror. This procurement is restricted to 8(a) certified contrators in Region 10 (Alaska, Idaho, Oregon, and Washington).
