- Description
- The National Institute on Drug Abuse plans to procure services from a qualified organization having the capability to produce, store, and distribute labeled and unlabeled opioid peptides and related neuropeptides. These may include, but are not limited to, unlabeled, tritum or I-125 labeled opioid peptides, and related compounds. Qualified organizations must be able to check the stability and purity of the compounds, maintain and store the compound inventory under secure conditions, and distribute the compounds to research investigators. In order to meet the demand for authentic, pure, and racemization free peptides, NIDA will require the contractor to maintain an inventory of approximately 40-45 peptides and some of their respective radio labeled compounds (approximately 23-25) and supply them primarily to NIDA grantees for use in NIDA supported studies and at the same time maintain capability to rapidly synthesize, on demand, new peptides that are potentially useful in drug abuse research. NIDA expects to award a 5-year contract. RFP No. N01DA-6-7758 will be available electronically on or about December 29, 2005 and may be accessed through the Internet at: www.fedbizopps.gov or through the NIDA website address: www.nida.nih.gov/RFP/RFPList.html. The electronic RFP contains all information needed to submit an offer. No printed version of the solicitation document or source list is available. NIDA will consider proposals submitted by any responsible offeror. Proposals will be due on or about February 23, 2006. Following proposal submission and the initial review, the Contracting Officer may require additional documentation from offerors in the competitive range. This advertisement does not commit the Government to award a contract. See Note 26.
