Description
THIS IS A COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION FOR COMMERCIAL ITEMS PREPARED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE FORMAT IN FAR SUBPART 12.6-STREAMLINED PROCEDURES FOR EVALUATION AND SOLICITATION FOR COMMERCIAL ITEMS ?AS SUPPLEMENTED WITH ADDITIONAL INFORMATION INCLUDED IN THIS NOTICE. THIS ANNOUNCEMENT CONSTITUTES THE ONLY SOLICITATION; QUOTATIONS ARE BEING REQUESTED AND A WRITTEN SOLICITATION DOCUMENT WILL NOT BE ISSUED. This solicitation is a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 05-05. The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) Code for this procurement is 334515. The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), has a requirement for a Laser. Wavelength Meter. New or refurbished equipment is acceptable. - DELIVERY SHALL BE FOB DESTINATION. FOB DESTINATION MEANS: The Contractor shall pack and mark the shipment in conformance with carrier requirements, deliver the shipment in good order and condition to the point of delivery specified in the purchase order, be responsible for loss of and/or damage to the goods occurring before receipt and acceptance of the shipment by the consignee at the delivery point specified in the purchase order; and pay all charges to the specified point of delivery. Award shall be made to the offeror whose quote offers lowest cost technically acceptable quote. The full text of FAR provisions or clauses may be accessed electronically at www.acqnet.gov/far. Line Item Description 0001 Laser wavelength meter must have +/- 1.0 ppm measurement accuracy or better. The wavelength range shall be 700-1100 nm or greater. The display resolution shall be .001 nm, .1 GHz or better. The display units shall be user-selectable between nm and GHz. The unit shall have a minimum input signal of 10 microwatts or less. The measurement rate shall be 1 Hz or greater. Optical input shall be fiber-optic or have provisions to easily input a free-space beam. Unit shall be USB or GPIB computer-interfaceable and shall have as a minimum a library of commands for custom programming. Unit shall incorporate automatic gain control on the input laser power. Unit shall incorporate an integral display. Warranty period shall be two years minimum. Laser can be a refurbished wavelength meter. Quantity------------------------------------------------------------------1 EA 0002 Warranty period of two (2) years. Warranty shall include repair and replacement of failed or faulty parts, software upgrades and technical support.
