- Description
- The U.S. Office of Personnel Management's 2006 Federal Workforce Conference: Transformation for Results, will be held at the Baltimore Convention Center, Baltimore, MD on February 27 ? March 2, 2006. This year the 2006 Federal Workforce Conference will have a vendor exhibit area. The 2006 Federal Workforce Conference is a major initiative for the Executive branch, bringing together Human Capital professionals from across the government. The purpose of the conference is to update the group on progress towards human capital items on the President?s Management Agenda, discuss the way forward, and disseminate ?best practices? within and across practice areas. The conference will include sessions on Transformation as well as focused forums on Benefits, Human Capital Strategies, Background Investigations, and Leadership. In the past approximately a third of the attendees were Federal agency headquarters level staff who are responsible for administering the various human capital programs within their agencies. The other attendees were field staff with administration responsibilities at the field level. In 2004, approximately 1900 agency representatives attended the conference. We expect over 2000 attendees at this year's conference. Exhibitors Information: Three hundred exhibit spaces are available. Exhibit spaces will be allocated on a first come first served basis. Exhibitor registration must be received by January 20, 2006. The exhibit area will be located within the Convention Center, adjacent to the dining area. Exhibitors may set up beginning at 8:00 AM, February 26th. Exhibits must be removed by 4:00 PM, March 3rd. Conference sessions begin at 8:30 AM each day and end at 4:30 PM. Conference attendees will have a number of opportunities to visit the exhibit area throughout the conference. The staffed exhibit booths will be 10' by 10' with pipe and drapes and will include signage, an electrical outlet, one table and 2 chairs. The cost of a staffed exhibit booth is $1495 for a 10' by 10' booth. Exhibitors will rent the space directly from Gallagher & Gallagher, facilitated by their contract with an on-site display company. The rental application and checks should go directly to Gallagher & Gallagher. Checks must be made payable to Gallagher & Gallagher. Participation in the exhibit area does not mean that the U.S. Office of Personnel Management in any way endorses or approves the vendor or its products or services. Exhibitors may not represent in any way that their participation at the Federal Workforce Conference represents any endorsement or approval by the U.S. Office of Personnel Management. For additional information, including pricing and availability of phone, audiovisual, and information technology support for individual exhibitor booths, as well as an exhibit area registration form please call Aman Battish at 570.420.1111 ext. 426.
