Description

Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) has a requirment for appropriately cleared and site-trained Security Escort Services at mutlipule locations. DISA Computing Services (CS) datacenters provide routine and mission-critical computer processing resources and support to numerous government agencies on a fee-for-service basis, 24 hours per day, 7 days a week. There are approximately 18 of these datacenters located throughout CONUS, Hawaii, and Europe. Outsourcing of much work to local contractors when facility requirements arise is a standard cost-savings methodology employed in both business and the government today. As the requirements to support data center equipment change throughout our enterprise and as DISA conducts routine and emergency maintenance on our building systems, DISA?s organic manpower to support these requirements continues to be reduced. Because of the sensitive and technical nature of our missions, DISA is mandated to provide proper security and supervision of contractor personnel granted access to DISA facilities to perform maintenance and new work. DISA has multiple short-term and long-term requirements at many sites to provide qualified, trained, and cleared security escort personnel to support these requirements. All personnel assigned as a Security Escort Specialist under this contract must at minimum possess a favorably completed National Agency Check with Local Agency and Credit Checks (NCLC) adjudicated for IT-II sensitivity level or have been awarded an interim IT-II sensitivity level prior to the period of performance. The Contractor shall provide appropriately cleared and site-trained Security Escort Specialists to provide escort services as operational requirements dictate for DISA Computing Services sites. The number of these Security Escort Specialists and frequency of their assignments will be flexible, based on individual site requirements. No specific training or skills beyond those otherwise delineated for Security Escort Specialists are required.
