Description
The VA VISN 22 Network 22 Logistics Office, Long Beach California intends to enter into a sole source contract with Spacelabs Inc. 4200-150 Ave Northeast P.O. Box 97013 Redmond, WA 98073-9713. This BOS announcement constitutes the only solicitation issued; a separate written solicitation will NOT be issued. This procurement is being conducted in accordance with FAR 6.302-1-only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements, incorporates provisions and clauses as those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-06. A justification for other than full and open competition has been repaired in support of this acquisition. Request for Quotation is RFQ-600-450-06JM. The North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) is 334220 and the Small Business Standard is 750 employees. This is a sole source action with Spacelabs Inc. Hardware and software are proprietary Spacelabs equipment. Contractor shall provide relocate labor and installation of twenty (20) antennas, included are necessary communications network changes additionally emergency power will be pulled into the areas necessary for central station monitoring. This will include the console area. Telemetry is unique in that it requires specialized technology to support critical direct patient care. A telemetry unit cannot adequately without the communications technology facilitated by the antennas and impact patient safety. Without these antennas the patient cannot ambulate from room to room. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. No solicitation document exists and no telephone inquiries will be accepted.
