- SUBJECT: Request for Information (2nd&3rd): 12Kw Test stand for Fuel Cell Power Generators Question: In the question section, someone asked if the FC would output 1000A at 400V to which you answered, yes. However, this is more than 400 KW where in the requirements it says 10-12kW is needed. I assume that this was an error and that the 400V and 1000A will not be achieved simultaneously (as in most fuel cells)? Answer: Want load box capable of handling 1000A and 400V. Not simultaneous. Question: You mention that heating the gas before it enters the fuel cell power generator is not required. Is any humidification required at all or simply gas mass flow control? Does this fuel cell power generator include balance of plant (not required t o be provided with the test station)? Answer: Want the capability of measuring gas. Fuel Cell power generator includes BOP. Question: Is back pressure control required or only pressure measurement as listed in the solicitation? Answer: Want back pressure measurement. Question: I see a power load listed as 12kW yet I also see a listing of 1000Amps And 400 Volts. Is this 1000A at 400V or Up to 1000A. Is the 400V a constant or a variable? Answer: Up to 1000A, and up to 400V. 400V is variable Question: Is the thermal management system a single loop system, or a multiple loop system. Some designs of FCPM have a separate loop for power electronics and compressor cooling. Answer: We will handle cooling issues. Question: Is this stand to control BOP (Balance Of Plant) i.e....Fuel management, compressor control or does the FCPM have its own control, and interface would be required? Answer: No, test stand will not control BOP. Interface is required for measurement so we can see what is going in and out of the FC. Question: Does the facility have a combustible and non-combustible exhaust system? Answer: Non-combustible exhaust
