Description
The Seattle District US Army Corps of Engineers requires maintenance dredging of the Quillayute River navigation channel and boat basin with repairs to Training Wall at La Push, Washington. The contractor shall be responsible for hydraulically dredg ing up to approximately 100,000 cubic yards of sand, gravel and cobble from the federal navigation channel and boat basin. A portion of the dredged sediment, up to 10,000 CY, shall be deposited on the Quileute Reservation upland site adjacent to the river . The remaining dredged material shall be deposited at two areas on the ocean side of the Rialto Beach spit. A training wall that creates the western boundary of the boat basin is in need of repairs. The Contractor shall be responsible for the replaceme nt of several planks/boards along the wall; only boards accessible above water shall be replaced. All work shall be complete no later than March 15, 2006. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 237990 with a size standard of $18.5 million. Project is open to both large and small business. If you are a large business and your proposal will exceed $1 million, you will be required to submit a subcontracting plan with goals for small, HUBZone, small disadvantaged, small woman-owned, and small veteran-owned concerns. For the purposes of this procurement, a concern is considered a small business if its annual average gross revenue, t aken for the last 3 fiscal years, does not exceed $18.5 million. NOTE: To be considered small for purposes of Government procurement, a firm must perform at least 40 percent of the volume dredged with its own equipment or equipment owned by another small dredging concern.
