Description
The following clarification is provided: The sensor phenomenology and performance specifications are: HRTE (High Resolution Terrain Data) 5-6 (1.0 m to 0.3 m horizontal resolution, 0.3 to 0.1 m vertical resolution) with an absolute accuracy of 10 cm (3D RMS 1 sigma) at a stand off range of 10,000 (NGA?s threshold) to 60,000 ft (NGA?s goal) and an area rate of 100 km2/hr (threshold) to 500 km2/hr (goal) at HRTE-5 from a fixed wing aerial platform. The accuracy specification should be consistent with typical commercial standards (for example, as documented by Maune, Digital Elevation Model Technologies and Applications: The DEM Users Manual, ASPRS, 2001). The following additional information is provided: Current development and deployment schedules should support delivery not later than 10 months after award. Longer development schedules might be considered for 'significantly greater capability' (area rate or stand off distance, for example); however, NGA desires to have a fielded capability by the end of CY06. The initial units are expected to be flown in KingAir (RC-12) class airframes; subsequent units would be migrated to UAV (Predator A&B).Nominal payloads are well known for these vehicles; autonomy of the payload is highly desirable (UAV-class), but human in the loop is acceptable and human in the cockpit is also acceptable (current standard practice). Classified responses are welcome as long as they are submitted in proper security channels to the following address: National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency Attn: Mr. Eric Rauch Mail Stop DN-04 12310 Sunrise Valley Drive Reston, Virginia 20191 The due date for this RFI is extended until January 6, 2006.
