- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulations document (FAR) subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-05. All applicable provision and clauses are included in the actual solicitation. This procurement is set for a 100% small business set aside. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 339112, and the small business size standard is 500 employees. The Government intends to issue a firm fixed price contract. STATEMENT OF WORK: Salient Characteristics for Laboratory Refrigerators Laboratory refrigerators to be used for storage of supplies and samples for 55th Medical Group Laboratory with the following specifications: o Dual pane, self-closing glass double doors with key locks. o Microprocessor digital controller/monitor display set at 4 degrees C. o Bacteria resistant interior and exterior coating. o No less than eight adjustable wire shelves per unit. o Casters on each leg. o Access port and single temperature probe system. o Central alarm contacts. o Audible and visual alarms for high/low temperature and door ajar with battery backup. o Interior capacity must be 56.0 cubic feet. o Refrigeration system should be a hermetically sealed air cooled compressor with a range of 2-10 degrees C and a chamber uniformity of +/- 1 degree C. o Exterior dimensions should not exceed 59?Wx78.5?Hx39.75?D. o Lights: Dual bulb, quick change with exterior switch. o Electrical: 115Volts,11.5 FLA; 60Hz o Unit must pass through a normal 79.75? doorway with standard casters. o Unit must have 5 year warranty for compressor, 2 year warranty for parts and 1 year warranty for labor. o Each refrigerator must include a 7 day temperature and range chart recorder and 1 package of paper per refrigerator. o Units must be certified to UL and CSA standards. o All necessary plugs and cords to operate each unit. o 2 operator?s manuals and 1 service manual.
