DESCRIPTION: Consists of insert, viscojet, pin plug, pin body dimensions: Length: 10 inch approx, width: 3 inch approx, height: 6 inch approx Material: aluminum/steel function: used to house the components which make up the boost assembly A firm fixed price requirements type contract is contemplated. The contract period will be one year with two one-year options. The estimated quantities are as follows: Item 0001: New Manufacture NSN 1650-01-049-5959HS, P/N A01790-1; Noun: Servocylinder; Basic Year Quantity, 39 each; Option I Year Quantity, 13 each; Option II Year Quantity, 11 each Surplus Is Not Acceptable DESTINATION: Hill AFB REQUIRED DELIVERY: For Basic Year 15 each December 2005, 3 each Jan 2006, 18 each Sept 2007, remaining units TBD Specifications, plans, or drawings relating to the procurement described are not available and cannot be furnished by the Government. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within forty-five days (thirty days if award is issued under an existing basic ordering agreement) after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. 23. Award will be made only if the offeror, the product/service or the manufacturer meets qualification requirement at time of award, in accordance with FAR clause 52.209-1 or 52.209-2. The solicitation identifies the office where additional information can be obtained concerning qualification requirements and is cited in each individual solicitation. 26. Based upon market research, the Government is not using the policies contained in Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, in its solicitation for the described supplies or services. However, interested persons may identify to the contracting officer their interest and capability to satisfy the Government's requirement with a commercial item within 15 days of this notice. Note: It is suggested that small business firms or others interested in subcontracting opportunities in connection with the described procurement make contact with the firm(s) listed. Specifications, plans, or drawings relating to the procurement described are incomplete or not available and cannot be furnished by the Government. COMMAND NOTE: An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential Offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process.
