- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulations document (FAR) subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-05. All applicable provision and clauses are included in the actual solicitation. This procurement is set for small business set aside. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 334519, and the small business size standard is 500 employees. The Government intends to issue a firm fixed price purchase contract to procure a wireless refrigerator/freezer alarm system in accordance with the statement of need. Automated wireless temperature monitoring system/data logger to wirelessly monitor and record temperature of medical refrigerators and freezers to include: - Stand alone central computer and receiver with software that enables you to set differing alarm conditions for individual remote sensors and provide real time over the phone alarm notification for each individual sensor. - 39 remote sensors with the capapbility to monitor temperatures in the range of 0 degrees Celsius to plus 10 degrees Celcius and one remote sensor capable of monitoring temperatures of minus 90 degrees celsius to minus 20 degrees celsius. - System will operate on a frequency tested and approved by the Federal Communications Committee for use in hospitals. - System shall provide automated report capability for compliance with and accreditations from the Joint Commission on Accreditation on Healthcare Organizations, Federal Drug Administration, College of American Pathologist, and American Association of Blood Banks. - System shall meet 21 Code of Federal Regulations, Part 11 guidelines for maintenance of environmental monitoring records. - All repeaters/signal amplifiers needed to cover 40 locations in a 250,000 square foot medical clinic. - Capability to produce individualized reports for 24 hours/365 days a year temperature monitoring. Delivery, Installation and on-site user applications training also required.
