- Description
- The Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Atlantic, Norfolk, Virginia intends to acquire all labor, supervision, management, equipment and transportation necessary to operate, maintain, repair and make alterations to the electrical production and distribution system, water production and distribution system for the U.S. Naval Base, Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. The following is an example of the work at various locations: backflow prevention devices, grease traps, fire hydrants, boilers (excluding central utility plant boilers), compressed air systems, cathodic protection systems, emergency generator systems, uninterruptible power systems, in line water filters, incinerators, airfield static, magazine and ordnance grounding, engineering support services, holiday light displays, exterior lighting, airfield lighting, and swimming pools. This is a combination firm fixed price and indefinite quantity type award option type contract. The contract shall be for a base period of one year with four one year options and five one year award option periods not to exceed one hundred and twenty (120) months. The proposed solicitation is unrestricted. Specifications will be available on or about 23 December 2005 by internet only. The internet website home page address is http://esol.navfac.navy.mil It is anticipated that a pre-proposal conference/site visit will be held on 18 and 19 January 2006. Additional information will be provided as it becomes available. The estimated date for receipt of proposals is 27 January 2006. In accordance with FAR 52.204-7 Central Contractor Registration (Oct 2003) offerors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database. Lack of registration in the CCR database will make an offeror ineligible for award.
