- This amendment is issued to respond to the following questions below, to delete the paragraph 5.1.C as shown in the subject statement of work (SOW) and to add the following subclins. Sub-Contract Line Item Numbers (SCLIN) are also incorporated as shown below: 0001AA - Base Year - Additional studio/one bedroom unit(s)iaw SOW as required by government. 0002AA - Option Year 1 - Additional studio/one bedroom unit(s)iaw SOW as required by government. 0003AA - Option Year 2 - Additional studio/one bedroom unit(s)iaw SOW as required by government. 0004AA - Option Year 3 - Additional studio/one bedroom unit(s)iaw SOW as required by government. QUESTION 1 - The requirement states all utilities must be covered and specifies ?telephone?. Is this inclusive or exclusive of Long Distance calls? ANSWER: Long distance telephone service is a requirement for which the government will pay on a monthly basis. However, it must be accessible to personnel. This cost is not to be billed directly to the government; personnel will be required to pay the cost directly with reimbursement to them by the government (as long as work related) OR have the ability to utilize a calling or credit card. QUESTION 2 - Will the personnel be totally tax exempt? For stays of less than 90 contiguous days in VA, there are taxes that will apply if the guest is not tax-exempt. ANSWER: A tax-exempt number/letter will be provided to the successful offeror after award. QUESTION 3 - Is there a preference or requirement for housing all personnel in a centralized location - 5.1.L: ?the facility? - or may they be in several locations? ANSWER: The housing of all personnel shall be in a centralized location. QUESTION 4 - The solicitation is for a minimum of 5 units per month. Is there an anticipated average, or maximum number, of units that may be required each month? ANSWER: The minimum requirement is for five (5) units per month; however at times additional unit(s) may become necessary. If so, the government would inquire into the availability of any additional unit(s) at least thirty (30) days in advance. These unit(s) would only be required as requested. QUESTION 5 - Please further define ?Metro Accessible? for acceptable parameters. Example ? walking distance only, within N miles, morning and evening free shuttle, on-demand shuttle, metro bus route to station, parking at Metro station, etc. ANSWER: Metro accessible is define in terms of walking distance only. QUESTION 6 - Is housekeeping only required at the departure of personnel, and not during their stay? ANSWER: Housekeeping service is only required at the departure of personnel. QUESTION 7 - May I please receive any other government clarifications provided in response to other vendor?s questions regarding this opportunity?
