Description
The Department of Veteran Affairs VISN 7 Contracting Office intends to issue a full and open competitive solicitation for the Veterans Administration Medical Center located in Columbia, South Carolina to provide Radiation Therapy Treatment Services to the beneficiaries of the Dorn VA Medical Center (Columbia, SC), Greenville, SC, Florence, SC, Rock Hill, SC, Sumter, SC and Anderson, SC. The Radiation Therapy services are necessary to meet the medical needs of the veterans of South Carolina who have been diagnosed with malignant cancers and whose patient outcomes would benefit from radiation therapy. This would include all types of radiation therapy, to include Brachtherapies. Services are to be provided at the contractor?s facility and billed per Current Procedural Terminology Codes (CPT) codes. The solicitation shall consist of a 12-month base period and four (4) 12-month option periods for renewal. The estimated amount of patients who received treatment for fiscal year 2005 was approximately 186 patients. This amount is distributed across the indicated areas in South Carolina. The solicitation will be made available on or about December 22, 2005 and will be distributed through Federal Business Opportunities website at www.fedbizopps.gov. All future information concerning this acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will be distributed through this website. In accordance with FAR Clause 52.214-22, Multiple Awards may be issued if the Contracting Officer determines that multiple awards might be economically advantageous to the Government.
