- This is a sources-sought notice and does not constitute a solicitation for proposal. The US Army Office of the Project Manager Close Combat Systems (OPMCCS) is currently seeking qualified sources to complete a requirement to produce L96A2 and L97A2 anti-riot grenades. The grenade quantities will range from 1000 to 10000, per year, of each grenade and will be built to a Government Furnished Drawing Package. The L96A2 is filled with CS compound (tear gas). Tthe L97A2, a training version of the L96A1, uses a cinnamic acid smoke to simulate CS. Qualified sources must be able to complete this requirement with CS which conforms to US Military Specification Mil-R-51029 (Riot Control Agent, CS) or United Kingdom Defence Standard Def-Stan-07-43 (Chemical Agent, CS). Qualified sources will be required to submit sufficient documenttion to prove that the CS source proposed, complies with the above Military Specification or Defence Standard. Interested companies which believe they can meet the above requirements shall provide the US Army a brief summary of their company's capabilities. Responses should identify your current Business Structure: a. Name of Company - include a contact person's name, company address, telephone number, email address. b. Company Size (please specify as either Large, Foreign, Small, Small Disadvan- taged, 8(a), Woman-Owned Small Business, Historically Underutilized Business Zone concern, Veteran-Owned Small Business, or Service-Disabled Small Business.) Identify current major manufacturing processes, critical skills and equipment, current production capabilities (should include your maximum production rate attainable and minimum sustaining rate). Identify your organization's Facilities, Equipment, Unique Capabilities, Environmental Concerns, Storage, Shipping, Receiving and other Support Functions. The information must be submitted within 30 calendar days from the date of this publication to: US Army TACOM-ARDEC, AMSTA-AQ-APA, ATTN: Jacki Dyda, Building 10, Picatinny Arsenal, NJ 07806 E-mail: jdyda@pica.army.mil. This Market Survey is for planning purposes only and should not be construed as a request for proposal or as an obligation on the part of the US Government. The US Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this Market Survey or otherwise pay for information solicited. Please identify any proprietary information submitted. Respondents will not be notified of the results of the survey.
