Description
The U. S. Army Engineer District, New Orleans, has a requirement for excavation, transport and delivery of government-supplied clay material in support of emergency levee restoration work in Plaquemines and St. Bernard Parishes of Southeast Louisiana . The Corps intends to award a Firm-Fixed Price, indefinite delivery - indefinite quantity task order contract as a result of this solicitation. The contract may require delivery of clay material to any project area where emergency restoration work is be ing performed regardless of where other awarded contracts may be operating. The term of the contract will be one (1) year. The contract will require excavation, transport and delivery of an initial minimum of 5,000 cubic yards (loose truck measure) of cl ay material stockpiled from a site near Comite, Louisiana. The contract may require delivery of up to a maximum of 2,000,000 cubic yards over a period of up to one year. Additional orders will be for no less than 1,500 cubic yards each. This is a Best Value procurement process. The following procurement evaluation criteria shall be utilized and listed in order of importance: 1) Technically acceptable, 2) Past Performance, 3) Ability to Excavate, Transport and Deliver Clay Materials and 4) Price. Con tract award will be based upon the following selection criteria: 1) Past Performance, 2) Availability, timeliness and delivery capability to meet demand requirements and 3) Price as the final determining factor. THIS WILL ALLOW US TO NOTIFY INTERESTED PARTIES IN THE EVENT AN AMENDMENT IS ISSUED.
