- The Directorate of Contracting, Ft Bliss Texas is soliciting for a Firm Fixed Price construction contract. This project provides for the restoration of a section of a building (Bldg 1033A) that was partially burned. This project is subject to availa bility of Funds (SAF) and is set aside to contractors that are HUB-Zone certified with a NAICS Code: 236220, in the El Paso, Texas Area. The magnitude of this project is between: $100,000.00 and $250,000.00. Work consists of, but is not limited to res toring/replacing: sheetrock walls, suspended ceiling, cabinets, replace three doors, flooring and base, electrical wiring and associated outlets and switches, area lights, all plumbing fixtures, restore the heating and cooling system as required, install a new fire alarm system, painting, cleaning and painting metal soffit area on vicinity of exterior doors and clean and disinfect inside as required to rid area of smoke odor. All work to be done in accordance with drawings that will be provided with solic itation. A firm fixed price contract is anticipated to be awarded using Best Value Evaluation criteria. Proposals will be evaluated based on their technical merit and price. Award will be made to the technically acceptable proposal with the lowest evalu ated price. The RFP solicitation, (W911SG-06-R-0003), is anticipated to be issued on or about 12 December 2005, and offers will be due on or about 13 January 2006. Anticipated award date is 25 January 06. Anticipated project completion date is 30 April 06. The place of performance is Ft Bliss, Texas. The 2002 North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code applicable to this project is 236220. SIC is 1542. The Product Service Code is Z199. The Small Business Size Standard is $31 Million. The plans and specifications, when available, will be available for pick up at the Directorate of Contracting, Building 2021, Ft Bliss, Texas. The Government's obligation under any resulting contract will be contingent upon the availability of funds for t his solicitation.
