Description
The Naval Air Systems Command Aircraft Division (NAVAIR-AD), Patuxent River, Maryland has a requirement for: DH-290 Aerostar Engine (Qty 1); Spare Parts Package for DH-290 Aerostar Engine (Qty 1); 10.4 inch Touch Screen for the Payload Control Panel (PCP) (Qty 2); NMEA Uplink Update (Qty 1); 602 Aerostar UAV Repair Kit (Qty 1); all manufactured and provided by Aeronautics Defense Systems (ADS), P.O. Box 169 Yavne 81101 Israel. ADS is the original and only known manufacturer of these non-commercial items. The production of these items requires access to proprietary information controlled by ADS, an initial investment in tooling to manufacture the items, and an extended period of preparation for manufacture. NAVAIR-AD intends to solicit written quotes from ADS for the above items with an anticipated award date of 30 December 2005, and an estimated delivery date of 02 March 2006 to NAVAIR-AD Patuxent River, MD. All responsible sources may submit a capabilities statement which shall be considered by the agency for an equal item. All capabilities statements received by 2:30 PM Eastern Standard Time, 28 December 2005 to rachel.luther@navy.mil, or faxed to (301) 757-0200 will be considered by the Government solely for the purpose of determining whether to initiate a competitive procurement. Technical capability will be determined solely on the content and merit of the information submitted in response to this provision. Therefore, it is incumbent on the interested party to provide sufficient technical literature, documentation, etc. in order for the Government to make an adequate technical assessment. The Government reserves the right to process the procurement on a sole source basis for the brand specific item based upon the responses received. The Government will not pay for any information received.
