Description
The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center, San Diego (SSC-SD) requires engineering support in support of the Office of Naval Research (ONR). Specific efforts include maintenance, testing, and documentation of recently developed Mobile Modular Command and Control (M2C2) system prototypes. The Raytheon-developed prototypes were utilized in several field tests, resulting in system degradation due to environmental exposure and deterioration resulting from routine use. Additional engineering is needed to return the systems to their original state. Rapid completion of this restoration is required in order to support prototype participation in upcoming USMC exercises. Since Raytheon has the unique familiarity with the initial system design and subsequent field modifications, the Government intends to award a sole source fixed price to Raytheon for this effort. The contract Period of Performance is estimated at 4 months. The estimated value of the effort is not to exceed $500K. This is an isolated procurement with no anticipated follow-on potential.
