Description

This is a pre-solicitation notice for a firm, fixed-price contract for Repairs to the East Front Bronze Doors of the U.S. Capitol for the Architect of the Capitol, Washington, D.C. The contract work includes the restoration of suspension assemblies for six (6) monumental bronze doors and associated adjustment of adjoining stone surfaces as specified. The solicitation will be issued on or about December 14, 2005. The date for receipt of proposals is January 24, 2006. This solicitation will be available electronically at http://www.aoc.gov/business/procure-opps.cfm on the date of issuance. INTERESTED PARTIES ARE ENCOURAGED TO DOWNLOAD THE ELECTRONIC VERSION, AS THIS WILL EXPEDITE RECEIPT OF THE SOLICITATION. A pre-bid meeting/site visit is scheduled for January 4, 2006; room to be determined later. The estimated magnitude of this project is between $500,000 and $1,000,000.
