Description

DESC: NSN 1010-01-138-4804, Part Number 3269552, The item to procure is a Buffer, Rod Assembly. Buffer, Rod Assembly is manufactured from 4130, 4140, 4142, 4145 or 8640 steel per ASTM A332 or A3331. Assembly has 5 steel components including Buffer Spring which is manufactured from chrome-silicon steel wire per ASTM A401. Wire size is square .125 X .125 with 16 coils as reference, option direction of helix, solid height is 2.150 inches, ends are closed and ground. Manufacture of 1 Buffer Tool Assem bly is required for installation of components. Buffer Tool is made from 4130 steel and 1010-1025 steel. Solicitation will result in a 5 Year IDIQ Contract. Guaranteed Minimum Requirements are 1,000 each, Buffer, Rod Assembly, and the Estimated Maximum Ceiling Quantity is 12,000 each, Buffer, Rod Assembly. FOB is Destination. For use on the MK19 Grenade Machine Gun. Estimated issue date is 09-Jan-06. This solicitation will be issued electronically in accordance with FAR 4.502 and 5.102, therefore, har dcopies will not be provided.
