- THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS. THERE WILL NOT BE A SOLICITATION, SPECIFICATIONS, OR DRAWINGS AVAILABLE. The Solicitation Number for this announcement is N62467-06-R-0059. Southern Division, Naval Facilities Engineering Command, solicits for Capability Statements from all qualified and interested parties with a priority on 8a firms(first priority), HubZone Small Business firms (second priority), and Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business firms (third priority) to participate in Maintenance and Repair on all mechanical components and systems including HVAC, compressors, cranes, and plumbing. 15% of the work will consist of controlled inspection of the facilities and 15% will consist of inspecting fire fighting systems, electrical systems, and certifying cranes and backflow presenters. The work will be performed at Marine Corps Reserve Centers in Baltimore, Maryland; Newport News, Virginia; and Lynchburgh, Virginia. The 2002 NAICS Code for the proposed acquisition is 238220, Plumbing, HVAC (heating, ventilation and air-conditioning), and the small business size standard is $13.5 Mil. Federal Supply Code is Y299, Maintenance, and Repair/Alternation all other. Under FAR guidelines, the prime contractor must have the capability to perform at least 20 percent of the contract work with his-or-her own employees. The Government will use responses to this SOURCES SOUGHT synopsis to make appropriate acquisition decisions to solicit this project as either a competitive Service Disabled Veteran Owned, 8a or HubZone Small Business or Unrestricted. The estimated cost of this acquisition is between $900,000 and $1,000,000 for one (1) base year with four (4) option years. The Government invites contractors with the capabilities necessary to meet or exceed the stated requirements to submit the market survey following the set format.
