Description

The USCG MLCP in Oakland, CA, proposes to contract for Dockside Repairs on CGC ALEX HALEY, a 282 foot medium endurance cutter, home port of Kodiak, AK. Work may be accomplished at either a certified contractor?s facility or at the cutter?s home moorage, during the period of 6 June through 28 July 2006. Work may include, but is not limited to, the following: Gantt Bar Chart, stacks commercial clean, thermometers calibrate, AC chill water system clean and inspect, weather deck drain installation, replace flash type evaporator with reverse osmosis desalinator, bilge AFFF sprinkler piping installation, firemain system repairs, Automatic Propulsion Control system grooming and temporary services dockside. On or about 23 Jan 2006, a Request for Proposal (RFP) will be available electronically at http://www.fedbizopps.gov. Only certified small business firms may submit a proposal. The solicitation, specifications and other pertinent information will be posted at www.fedbizopps.gov. In order to open and download the specifications offerors must be registered at www.FedTeds/gov. Offerors are encouraged to register immediately as authorization to access the documents may take up to 48 hours from the time of registration. Drawings may be requested through FedTeds.
