The purpose of this modification to the Request for Information (RFI) is to add additional information to the RFI and request that respondents include the following information in their submission due on or before January 16, 2005. While the first items that may be procured are for ground-based testing and concept verification, the ultimate objective of this effort is to fly ultra-light dropsondes on aircraft or balloons that have limited payload capability. At this time the precise nature of these aerial vehicles has not been defined and will not be defined in the immediate future. Responders should include their relevant experiences and capabilities regarding limited payload aerial vehicles.
