Description

The 96th Contracting Squadron (96 CONS/MSCB), Eglin AFB intends to award a Sole Source Firm Fixed Price Purchase Order notice to overhaul / rebuild two each, CARCO 5-Axis Flight Motion Simulators. The sole source award is to Acutronic USA, Inc. 640 Alpha Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15238. Statutory authority for this sole source action is Title 10 U.S.C. 2304C(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1. This solicitation is for information purposes only. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement or submit a proposal. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, any proposals received by 5 January 2006 will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The announcement number is F1T0EB5341A100. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 333319 with a size standard of 500. Please identify business size in your response based upon this standard. The requirement is as follows: Furnish CLIN 1, Service/Overhaul all actuators and rotary joint on one each, 5-Axis flight motion simulator, Part Number: GO#80666, Manufacturer: CARCO Electronics; CLIN 2, Service to include mechanical refurbishment of the pitch and inner target actuators on one each, 5-Axis flight motion simulator, Part Number: GO#80857, Manufacturer: CARCO Electronics. In addition to these CLINs, the service provider must provide allparts and materials, on-site labor, and allother related expenses necessary to overhaul the simulator components described above. Vendors must be registered in Central Contractor Registration (http://www.ccr.gov) before award can be made. The proposal format is at the discretion of the offeror.
