Description

Vicksburg Consolidated Contracting Office intends to solicit on a sole source basis under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 to Terrain Experts, Inc., 4400 East Broadway, Suite 314, Tucson, AZ 85711. This procurement is being conducted under Simplified Ac quisition Procedures (SAP)  only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Terrain Experts, Inc. is the only provider of Terra Vista software, which imports geospatial data and imagery, and builds three-di mensional terrain models for use in a variety of modeling and simulation applications. The government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities/qualifications to perform the effort in w riting to the identified point of contact no later than 15:30 hrs Central Time Zone on 22-Dec-2005. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to thi s notice. No RFP will be issued based upon this Notice of Intent.
