Description

The following replaces 1406-04-06-RP-60347 GovWorks is issuing a Request for Quote (RFQ) on behalf of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA), U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT). FMCSA wishes to identify commercial motor vehicle driver factors that contribute to increased risk of large truck crashes. The study design should complement the FMCSA Large Truck Crash Causation Study addressing the relative crash risk associated with driver characteristics including personal data and traits, health and medical issues, driving performance and experience, and impacts of the work environment. The study should use a case-control sampling method in which the characteristics of crash-involved drivers (cases) are compared to those of non-crash-involved drivers (controls). ***The RFQ number is 60347. The period of performance will be 18 months from the date of award. FOB shall be DESTINATION, Washington, DC. ***This requirement is being procured using full & open competition, open to all business sizes. The resultant award is expected to be a labor hours type contract. ***The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 541990, with a small business size standard of $6 million. ***The competitive RFQ, specifications, RFQ amendments, and all questions and answers related to this procurement will be made available via the Internet at http://www.govworks.gov/vendor/csolicit.asp under RFQ number 1406-04-06-RQ-60347. ***The RFQ is anticipated for release to the vendor community on or about December 16, 2005, and will be available via the Internet at the above web site. ***Potential offerors are responsible for accessing the web site. Interested parties must respond to the RFQ in order to be considered for award of any resultant contract. No written solicitation document is available, telephone requests shall not be honored, and no bidders list shall be maintained.
