Description
The United States Environmental Protection Agency (US EPA), Office of Prevention, Pesticides and Toxic Substances (OPPTS), Office of Pesticide Programs (OPP), Environmental Fate and Effects Division (EFED) requires contractor technical support for meetings and workshops relating to agency ecological risk assessments (excluding non-target plant issue and general guideline workshops). Information pertaining to EPA?s ecological risk assessment process is available at: http://www.epa.gov/pesticides/ecosystem/ecorisk.htm. This contract will provide meeting support primarily for EFED?s Science Review Panel; Prospective offerors must be able to provide relevant scientific and technical expertise to perform work including (but not limited to): providing input to risk assessments, documenting Science Review Panel comments, and making editorial comments on the ecological risk assessment chapters. For other technical meetings, the contractor may be tasked with keeping and delivering detailed records of workshop activities, and/or logistical activities within a short time frame. EFED occasionally conducts workshops on various technical topics to discuss the relevant scientific issues and receive guidance from experts in the field on how these issues should be handled/resolved. In these cases, the contractor may be tasked with providing technical documents to help define the relevant issues to facilitate discussion among the workshop attendees. The EPA intends to conduct this procurement as a total small business set-aside. To support this requirement, the agency anticipates awarding a labor-hour contract specified at fixed hourly rates; and established ceiling prices. The estimated period of performance includes one (1) 12-month Base Period, and four (4) 12-month Option Periods. The applicable NAICS Code for this procurement is 541620, entitled ?Environmental Consulting Services?. The small business size standard for this NAICS category is $6.5M in average annual receipts. It is anticipated that the solicitation will be released on or about January 3, 2003. The solicitation, Statement of Work, and any attachments will be available via the EPA website at: http://www.epa.gov/oamhpod1/oppts_grp/0511252/index.htm. Prospective offerors are advised to monitor the Internet site for the status of this solicitation and shall download the solicitation related documents from the internet site.
