- Description
- This is a small business set-aside. All qualified small businesses firms are eligible to participate. All large businesses firms are ineligible to submit offers. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 237130 with a small business size standard of $28.5 Million. Work consists of constructing and placing into service a new electrical switching station and associated equipment to include installing autotransformers, circuit breakers, pipe bus work, 46kV switches, dead-end towers, auxiliary power equipment, relay/meter/control cabinets, control house, fencing with gates and personnel doors, grounding, all associated wiring, miscellaneous equipment and testing/commissioning. Construct and place into service 115kV transmission line to the new AT-V switching station. The overhead line consists of steel poles, both concrete and direct buried foundation, insulators, grounding, fiver optic contained ground wire, ACSR conductor, pole mounted 115kV V-Switch and all associated miscellaneous equipment and testing/commissioning. Remove 46kV overhead transmission line. Line consists of wood poles with ACSR conductor and associated equipment, guys and anchors. Included is removal of 46kV DOE Switching Station, which is a steel structure with switches enclosed in a fenced yard at Kirtland Air Force Base in Albuquerque, New Mexico. This will be a firm fixed price Request for Proposal (RFP). The solicitation will be issued electronically on the Industry Interactive Procurement System at http://e-center.doe.gov. Paper copies will not be available. Once the solicitation is posted it is incumbent upon the interested parties to review this site frequently for any updates/amendments to any and all documents. NOTE: Any prospective contractor must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) in order to be eligible for award. Registration requires applicants to have a DUNS number from Dun and Bradstreet. Registration could take up to three weeks to process. Recommend registering immediately in order to be eligible for timely award. It is anticipated that this solicitation will be issued on or about the 2nd of November 2005. NOTE: THIS NOTICE MAY HAVE POSTED ON FEDBIZOPPS ON THE DATE INDICATED IN THE NOTICE ITSELF (18-OCT-2005).
