Description
The NATO Joint Force Command Headquarters (JFC HQ) intends to advertise for International Competitive Bidding (ICB) on works and services within the framework of the NATO Military Budget Committee (MBC). Eligible firms will be invited to bid to provide for the annual maintenance and emergency repair of CIP-67 TARE (Telegraph Automatic Relay Equipment) and IVSN (Initial Voice Switched Network) equipment in the Northern Region Area. The JFC HQ is serving as the Host Nation for this project, which was authorized by the MBC. JFC HQ intends to use the two envelope bidding procedure. The estimated value of this project is not available at this time. The intention is for a one year contract with two possible options. The reference for this project is IFIB-ACO-BRU-06-14 and all correspondence in relation to this procurement shall refer to this reference. The U.S. Department of Commerce will be using the same reference. SCOPE OF PROJECT JFC HQ in Brunssum, The Netherlands is soliciting contractor support for the annual maintenance and emergency repair of CIP-67/TARE/IVSN equipment located in its Northern Area installations. No other specifics on this procurement are available at this time. The IFIB package will contain material that is classified up to NATO UNCLASSIFIED. BIDDING PROCEDURES All firms with a facility located within the United States must be declared eligible by the U.S. Department of Commerce in order to be deemed eligible to bid. A Declaration of Eligibility will be submitted on their behalf to the Host Nation, which is the JFC HQ in Brunssum, The Netherlands. The Host Nation will not consider requests for participation received directly from firms. When the Invitation for International Bidding (IFIB) is issued, those firms will be notified by the Host Nation directly. However, as provided for under MBC rules, nominations from interested firms will continue to be accepted by the Host Nation after the IFIB is issued and until the bid closing date of March 9, 2006.
