- INDUSTRY COMMENTS & Level of Interest sought. The Department of Labor (DOL) Office of the Assistant Secretary for Administration and Management (OASAM), Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA), and Office of Administrative Law Judge (OALJ), with locations in various DOL Regions throughout the United States, is seeking industry comments in regards to the structure, scope, and content of the PWS and QASP that is included and for your level of interest for the accompanying PWS and other documents in regards to various administrative support services and other support operations in Washington, DC and various, multiple regions throughout the USA. In Washington, DC, locations are at the Frances Perkins Building and TechWorld. The regions are Atlanta, San Francisco/Seattle, Dallas/Denver, Chicago/Kansas City, Boston/New York, West Virginia, Colorado, and Pennsylvania. A physical presence is required in each location. Services anticipated include: Administrative support services Customer services Building management services o Janitorial o Public Space oversight/Safety and Health Engineering services o Building maintenance and management services o Electrical services o Maintenance services (engineering) o Mechanical maintenance services o Plumbing services o Wood crafting services Mail delivery and distribution services Policy analysis services Program support services Space management services Support services Supply services Telecommunications services Warehousing and distribution services This may or may not result in being set aside for small business concerns. This notice is not a Request for Proposal (RFP). This is a market research tool to solicit industry comments and determine the availability of sources prior to issuing the RFP. This announcement is for information and planning purposes only and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Department of Labor, implied or otherwise, to issue a solicitation or ultimately award a contract. An award will not be made on offers received in response to this notice. If the solicitation is issued, source selection procedures will be used, which will require offerors to submit technical experience, past performance and price for evaluation. The Government is not responsible for the cost associated with any effort expended in responding to this notice. When providing comments, also include your firm?s size status, interest as prime or sub-contractor, and capability of taking on this size and type of contract in 2006. The NAICS code for this proposed procurement is 561990 (size standard is $6.5M). There will be a 90-day transition period to full performance if ever eventually contracted for. The contract will consist of a base period and options totaling 60 months of performance. Start-up at the individual locations would be phased-in during the base period of any eventual contract.
