- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is W15QKN-06-T-0542 . This is a request for quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through the Federal Acquisition Circular 05-06 Correction dated 14 Nov. 2005. The U.S. Army TACOM-Picatinny intends to award on a sole source basis with The Mathworks, Inc., Natick, MA for MATLAB Software Subscription License Right to Use Support in accordance with 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302- ???Only One Responsible Source...??? because The Mathworks, Inc. has proprietary software rights, copyrighted patent rights and source codes required to access the software and is the sole developer, distributor and manufacturer of MATLAB software. This notice is not a request for competitive quotations. All responsible sources, however, may submit a quotation that shall be considered by the agency.
