INDUSTRY DAY - MILCON ARMY TRANSFORMATION PROGRAM INFORMATION: The US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Fort Worth will be holding a site-specific Industry Day in order to provide updated information as to the procurement and execution of this program as it relates to FORT BLISS, TEXAS. It is the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers intent to issue Product Line pre-solicitation notices on or about 3 January 2006 with solicitations being issued on or about 25 January 2006. This Construction Program will cons ist of Multiple Facilities for the Army (Barracks, Operations Buildings (company, battalion and brigade level) Tactical Equipment Shops, General Instruction Buildings, and Dining Facilities) as well as multiple facilities for the Families (Child Developmen t Centers, Fitness Facilities, etc.) to support the Army Transformation. POTENTIAL FIRMS INVOLVED UNDER THE FOLLOWING CLASSIFICATION CODES: 54 - Prefabricated Structures and Scaffolding, C - Architect and Engineering Services, Y - Construction of Structures and Facilities THE INDUSTRY DAY WILL BE HELD: 18 JANUARY 2006 - EL PASO, TEXAS El Paso Community College, Administrative Service Center, 9050 Viscount Blvd. North El Paso, TX 79925 The Event will start promptly at 8:00 AM and go until 4:00 PM LOCAL TIME. Assembly will take place starting at 7:30 AM. You are HIGHLY RECOMMENDED to register yourself and any other participants from your firm. Large Business firms, resource partners, trade organizations, etc. *Networking is an opportunity for firms to meet other firms, in order to create relationships and/or teaming endeavors on future projects. It is an excellent opportunity for large firms seeking subcontracting opportunities with small businesses and for sm all business firms wishing to do prime contractor work with each district. Other resource partners will be available to assist small business with other business issues, such as financing, bonding, proposal preparation, etc. HIGHLIGHTS OF THE EVENT: Presentation/Panel with Q/A on the following topics: Overview of Ft. Bliss Program, including product-line that will be set asides under the authorized socio-economic categories for small businesses Dept. of Army - Mentor-Prot?g? Program/8(a)/SDB Program U.S. Small Business Administration - Mentor-Prot?g?/JV Program Dept. of Army - HUBZone Program U.S. Small Business Administration - HUBZone Program Dept. of Army - Service Disabled-Veteran-Owned Program Workshop - How to Prepare a Best Value Proposal NETWORKING. Large Business firms are STRONGLY ENCOURAGED to participate in the networking event. As well as resource partners, trade organizations, HBCU/MIs, etc. OVERVIEW OF FACILITIES: Multi Function Aviation Brigade Heavy (ABCT-H) Complex. Primary facilities at each location include Brigade Headquarters Building, Battalion Headquarters Buildings, Company Operations Buildings, barracks, dining facilities, tactica l vehicle maintenance facility, organizational vehicle parking, unit storage aviation maintenance facilities and rotary wing aircraft apron. Supporting facilities include site utilities, electric service, site improvements, information systems and anti-ter rorism measures. Furnishings for all fac ilities will be provided by other appropriations. Brigade Combat Team Heavy (BCT-H) Complex. Primary facilities at each location include Brigade Headquarters, Battalion Headquarters, Company Headquarters Facilities, barracks, dining facilities, tactical vehicle maintenance shops, organizational vehicle pa rking, and unit storage. Support facilities include all site improvements and landscaping, storm drainage, utility services including electrical, water, sewers, walks, curbs and gutters, anti-terrorism measures and information systems. Furnishings for all facilities will be provided by other appropriations.
