- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the solicitation; quotes are bei ng requested and a more detailed solicitation is available on the Vicksburg Consolidated Contracting Office (VCCO) Web Page at http://www.mvk.usace.army.mil/contract/. Hardcopies will not be available. Solicitation Number W912HZ-06-T-0012 is being issued as request for quotes (RFQ)with the intent to award as a simplified acquisition. The solicitation document and incorporated provision and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-06. This is 100% set-aside for small business concerns under NAICS Code 541820 (SIC 8743) with gross revenues not exceeding $5.0 million. The U.S. Army Engineer Research and Development Center, Vicksburg, Mississippi, Public Affairs Office has a a requirement to perform public affairs activities to educate and inform various audiences of the mission and accomplishments of the U.S. Army Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC), at the Vicksburg, MS, site. All public affairs activities will be conducted/performed so that ERDC, other Corps of Eng ineers elements, other professionals in the public affairs and related fields, and concerned non-professionals can benefit from a factual and timely perspective of the commands missions, programs and successes. All public affairs activities and work will be completed under the auspices of the Army Public Affairs mission: Public Affairs fulfills the Armys obligation to keep the American people and the Army informed, and helps to establish the conditions that lead to confidence in Americas Army and its re adiness to conduct operations in peacetime, conflict and war. The contractor will execute the ERDC public affairs offices comprehensive public affairs strategy through the efficient and effective use of command information, media relations, public inform ation, community relations, protocol, event planning, marketing and exhibits programs and activities. The Contracting Officers Representative (COR) will make final determinations on what public affairs activities will be completed on a daily basis and wi ll be the final approval for release of all public affairs information.
