- This upcoming solicitation will be for a Fixed Price Contract for the contractor to transport to a site in Iraq and perform one General Electric frame 5 combustion turbine replacement, and perform initial commissioning for GE Frame 5 gas turbine generator units at the Old Mulla electric generation plant in Iraq. Old Mulla is near Kirkuk approximately 300km north of Baghdad, Iraq. The objective is to transport to site a replacement engine, currently in storage near Basra, in Iraq, and replace the existing gas turbine generator unit installed at Al Mulla in Iraq. Following installation of the new engine re-commissioning and test. Purchase Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) or equal parts as needed to complete the work. The scope of work also includes carrying out an annual inspection, verification/ service of all auxiliary systems to support the turbine, associated generator, excitation system, lube oil systems, accessory equipment, fuel supply system, fire system fuel treatment equipment (if applicable), providing and installing a complete set of new air intake filters. Due to the "fast-track" nature of the project, the contractor must endeavour to use reasonable measures to ensure that the parts are delivered in time to support the scope of supply and that the work is performed within the PCO?s allotted timeframe taking into consideration all recommendations, conditions, special conditions, the quoted work scope, the scope of supply and all other aspects. The solicitation will be posted to the Project and Contracting Office website, once released.
