- SCREENING INFORMATION REQUEST Project Title: TOWER LADDER REPLACEMENTS/MODIFICATIONS; DOUGLASTON, NY Point of Contact: Glenn Fox McCarthy, (718) 553-3085 Date Closed: 29DEC05 ________________________________________________________________________ Project Description The Federal Aviation Administration has a requirement for tower ladder replacements/modifications and full compliance with all applicable OSHA safety standards. Work consists of the removal of existing ladders and fall protection systems, engineering design and installation of new ladders and fall protection systems, and engineering design and performing modifications of existing platforms on three (3) self-supporting steel towers. The estimated price range for construction is between $85,000.00 and $115,000.00. The contractor shall perform at least fifteen (15) percent of the cost of the contract, not including the cost of materials, with its own employees. The following companies will receive a copy of the RFO (Request For Offers) for this project: Mid-Continental Systems, Inc.,Creamridge, N.J;.MSA Engineered Services, Englewood, CO. Purpose The purpose of this Screening Information Request (SIR) is to obtain three (3) additional offerors. All additional offerors must demonstrate that they are experienced in this type of work, and must include information on completed projects similar in size, scope, and complexity, and list the project owner's names and phone numbers. All interested offerors must fax a letter of interest to Glenn Fox McCarthy at 718-995-5685, NLT 4:00 PM EST, 29DEC05. Basis for Award Once offerors' information has been reviewed, and the company is considered to be capable of satisfactorily performing this work, cost will be used for the basis of award.
